Musing on the smallest TV screen in the world

The latest edition of Ingenia magazine has just turned up on my door mat and the last article really caught my eye. Seems engineers in Edinburgh have cracked the challenge of designing personal video glasses ... ultra-low powered TV screens just the size of a finger nail. I want some right NOW .... check out the article at www.ingenia.org.uk.

Well, if you can't wait for that technology to become available, how about these "virtual reality" glasses?

That would be great. You could wear one of the tiny TV screens set into your watchband that would receive the image from the tips of the gloves. Actually, I think this is very possible 'cos you can get a mini video camera now from those spy shops, so with the invention of the ultra-low powered mini screen, the power problem is solved. Let's hope we can try this out very soon.

What a great idea! Wish they would make an artificial eye set into the finger of a pair of gloves - handy for seeing round corners, not to mention (literally) keeping an eye out for what's going on behind you.
