I see in this week's NCE (10th Sept) that fellow network member Mike Chrimes writes of the new acquisition by the ICE library of letters from Telford to Scottish scientist Patrick Copland. Telford asks Copland for his opinion on various designs he's working on, such as a masonty bridge over the River Dun — the article proposes this as evidence that Telford was always looking to innovate. Interesting.
